Hey Ali have you taken a look at a 96 yet? Yeah it just looks weird I tried to fit a pipe on but is won't hold. When you take out the airbox the end part is plastic. Not like the 92-95 its metal.

Great job Ali. Way to come up with something on your own. It looks like a good job in putting it in.
I also want to make one suggestion regarding the water/hydrolock issue. It is very much an issue that can be easily resolved. All you have to do is buy a bypass valve. AEM makes a very good one. It only costs like $30, but it will totally protect you against ingesting water up into the intake. Splashing water should not be a problem unless the filter is totally exposed to the elements. If it's where I think it is, behind the foglight in the wheel well, he's not going to get any water unless he drives thru a large puddle.
I personally would buy the bypass valve that way you wouldn't have anything to worry about at all. Look at it this way...you'll have a CAI with less than $50 invested. You can't beat that.
BTW, the AEM bypass valve SAYS it won't work in other CAI's that are not AEM, but that's BS. I put it on my CAI from Place Racing and it worked beautifully. They make a 3" and a 3.5" one. That's all that matters.
It was tested in a magazine not too long ago on an NSX. They built a long "CAI" that was outside the car and dipped inside an aquarium. Obviously they were trying to see if the valve would let the water up into the intake. I DID NOT. Even with the car under load on a dyno, and the filter totally submersed it didn't let it go up into the intake. Kinda like a broken straw. It's really a simple concept. Wish I'd of thought of it....I'd be a zillionaire now.
Good luck and great job on DIY.

can someone post a pic of the 96 sc intake...im not sure what the difference is.
i just ordered the AEM bypass valve. thats probably the best way to go..thanx for the advise
this is a very easy thing to do...i don't have any premade ones. just find a shope that can bend the pipe for you like a muffler shop and they can do it...the 3" to 3" rubber connector can be found at most hardware stores.

http://www.racingsportsakimoto.com/prod_spiralflex.php has flexible tubing that might eliminate the need to have the tubing bent.
