i did, parts about 10.00-15.00, and i had my friend bend the pipe for me...i got a 3"to3" connector and a 3" pipe bent the pipe under the light and down to the front of the bumper. you can feel a little difference. you get better throttle response.

Default That's freaking beautiful!

Darn Ali, that's some outragiously great looking work for $10-15 parts. How or where on earth did you come up with that carbon fiber looking front end cone? What equipment is necessary to bend the pipe? bet that's not laying around most of our garages!

You could probably sell these things.

i got the cone filter on ebay. i have a buddy that owns a muffler shop so he bent the pipe for me..i just spent 15.00$ on parts, i did notice a little increase in power, but its the BEST 15$ you can spend on your car.

Looks good, let me make a suggestion for rainy weather. I personally would make certain it is angled down at the tip, but that's not my suggestion......

While your feeling creative make a plate to insert over that hole (or behind the opening) so when it rains you'll be ok. It's not bad for it to rain and you drive it, it's bad for it to rain and you drive it behind someone else that's kicking water strait into it.

Try the panel, you'll get caught out one day and need it.

Agreed: "better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!"... as the saying goes. Good idea, BTW.

*EDIT* Looking at the setup in the pics, that would fit the SC3, too, correct?

Hey Ali I'm interested in making my own cold air but I have a question. Well I have a 96 SC400 and you know the air flow sensor is different. Do you know or how to make a cold air extension to make it work. Thanks!

It looks like he just removed the factory air box and used hose clamps to attach a metal pipe to the air filter...

thanx for the suggestions, as for a 96sc400 it should be the same..i took out the factory air box and but the MAF adapter connected it with a rubber peice to a 3" pipe and connected the filter to it. the 3" pipe fits perfect under the head light after you bend it.
