Default CD009 HRB, Is the bearing supposed to separate?

1992 SC400
CD009 conversion
Fisch Racing Bell Housing/Adapter
(Tilton 1000 Series HRB included)

This is a pretty simple question for anyone who knows much about Hydraulic Release Bearings (HRB's). I decided to pull my CD009 due to odd noises. When it came out the Bearing separated from the rest of the HRB unit. Is this normal/okay? The photo shows clearly what I am referring to.
