Default dyno

Can't seem to send JPEG file with dyno- maybe cause I'm on a Mac- anyway 402 h.p. 536 torque- on a fairly conservative tune of a Garret GT35R turbo. Haltec ECU , MSD ign., Siemens 550 injectors, s.s. header,HKS boost controller, custom intercooler- scary ride home on a wet interstate- lsd goes in next.

Congrats. There's a LOT more power there. The GT30R I laid down 400 whp easily on 104 octane on a WRX. I have a GT35R on my STi right now. I'm finishing the install this week and we'll see what she does. SHoudl easily lay down 400 whp on pump fuel and 500 whp+ on race fuel.

Guru- your right ,theres a lot more potential in the turbo, but Larry at Sound Performance feels that the weak link now would be the connecting rods in the vvti engine, and that would need to be addressed to increase output. The tranny would also need a full rework instead of just the valve body.

Jbrady- Bit is correct, the cars a '98 GS300

Larry felt strongly about the choice of turbo and after the little chance I've had to drive it hard (weather)I have to agree it was a great decision- very little spool up and pulls real hard like a big v-8. Stay off it and its the same docile, smooth running little six that I was used to.

Congrats etnarp,

It's nice to see fast Lexus in Rockford. Now you have to teach locals what the Lexus power means.
