Which Exhaust do you recommend?
I currently have the Tanabe Racing Medalion and love it...BUT the angled exhaust and short tip rub against my body kit and the heat from the exhaust is melting m body kit!! So I need a straight exhaust and would like to know what you guys recommend. Something that may sound similar to my tanabe. Nothing too ricey or too loud please!! Thanks!

One possible alternative...
Why don't you just get some straight tips you like and keep your current exhaust?

You would probably like the Carson Tuned exhaust. It is long enough that it should clear your kit and sounds very throaty not ricey at all.

You can only get it from Carson Toyota. It's made exclusively for Carson by Kimura.
Ask Bobby or Steve in parts for details on this exhaust. Bobby is there on Saturdays from 9am to 5pm Pacific.
www.carsontoyota.com or call them at (800)90-TOYOTA.

Hold up dude! Take your car to a muffler shop and either have them heat up your tanabe so they can bend it, or have them weld in some different piping on it. Should be a lot cheaper to do that as opposed to buying all new exhaust. I would take the Tanabe over the Carson exhaust any day. Carson looks like stock to me. Plus you have to wait to get the Carson one whereas the muffler guys do it while you wait. Good luck though with your decision.

Youre right flipside, i should not make judgements like that before having the product, but still the muffler shop won't give you crappy results. He's already got a badass tanabe on there and it just needs to be adjusted a little bit. About the Carson exhaust, I was testing yall's opinions about it. Didn't you get it? How is it? Thanks.

You're forgetting a big factor. Most of the axleback and catbacks you see on the market are engineered for flow with their current design. Any alteration will only hurt performance unless you actually get the muffler shop to test airflow and etc. I highly doubt they would even do that since they don't have the equipment nor do they have the time and money to research it.
As for the Carson Tuned by Kimura, it was designed to replicate the L-Tuned exhaust that was made by HKS. It's a very stealthy and mellow exhaust compared to the Hiper and etc. Definitely has a nice deep tone to it especially during WOT. No heavy highway drone at cruising speeds. I have yet to get my car to a dyno to test the results. If I ever get a chance, I will do so and post numbers along with my JoeZ intake setup.
