Question ? for L-Tuned Exhaust owners, 2K RPM, MPH?

I found this sound clip of L-Tuned exhaust on a 1999 GS4
http://www.exhaustsoundclips.com/sou...0_l_tuned.html

This clip sounds like the mic could be outside near the rear bumper.

Anyone have a clip of the L-Tuned exhaust from inside the passenger cabin (doors closed, windows up?) It'd be cool to hear a clip of full throttle from 0 to about 70MPH, and also to hear a clip of casual cruising near 2K RPM, from inside the cabin.

I'm considering the L-Tuned Exhaust for my 98 GS4. I've read that the L-Tuned exhaust is one of the best sounding and is easy to install since it uses the factory hangers, plus the tips look great.

But there are several posts about a droning sound near 2K RPM. On my daily 40-mile commute round trip, I go about 70MPH (2250 RPM). I'm curious if 2250 RPM is high enough to avoid the droning.

Anybody up for recording some exhaust???

Scott,

I've moved your post to a subforum we use for questions about exhaust (as well as engine, tranny, etc). There is a similar one for suspension questions if you have them.

We've got another great feature on our forum called advanced search. Most all of the questions you will have have already been asked several times and you can get an immediate response.

Hold one sec and I'll post an example.

Edit - best thread for you is the exhaust competition

Here are some others to consider while you're shopping (searched for 'exhaust sound clip' in the GS forum).

Cool

Total coolness, thanks for the info. There's a good bit of info on many exhaust systems. Not sure if you know this or not, but you actually made my decision more difficult!!!! But worry not, I'll make a decision soon enough.

Yeah, I kinda figured I would. BUT its best to do your homework on all the options available and get the right one the first time. I've switched out many items on my GS after learning more here on our forums and wasted a lot of time / money that way.

Good luck, lots of options. I suggest you try to get out to a local meet (see the regional forums) and hear some of the exhausts in person.
