I am @ 168k with my 2002 and i think plugs were last changed @ 100k (bro original owner).
I was cruising along on this DIY until i got to the center botttom bolt that needs to come out in order to move the TB.

Somehow I ended up up stripping the tip and can not get it to budge one bit. I think i messed up because all other bolts were removed so trying to remove this last one while nothing else was holding the TB made it a bit tougher.

I managed to put everything back together but wonder how the heck to I get this thing out? Do those gator bits (something named like that) work on biting stripped bolts and removing them? Really dissapointed, what did you guys use to remove it? All my nuts were tough to move wo everything took an extra effort to unscrew.

Post Misfire & Codes

Hello guys, I recently changed all 6 spark plugs out with NGK Iridiums after completing the change getting gas then driving 4 miles it started performing poorly, had hesitation, then threw a Check Engine light which read Cylinders 3, 5, 6, misfire then also a lean code after a little bit longer it started flashing. you guys have any idea what could be wrong here? Thanks for any assistance.

Verify the plugs and also make sure the correct plug wires went to the correct plugs.

Default should I change the wire along with the spark plugs?

Hi Red and all,

Thanks for your posting with pic. I have a 2002 GS3 and am about to change the plug with the P0305 code I scanned recently. Just wonder if I should replace the wires at the same time with the plugs? Just bought the Denso plugs from Amazon...

Any advice? thanks much!

I just bought the denso wires from rockauto but they didn't come with the clips that snap into the connectors, can I remove them the clips from the old wires? Any help is appreciated, I currently have my car torn apart in the garage because I'm doing the timing belt. I wanted to do the plugs while the valve covers are off.

A couple tips when replacing your plugs on the GS, buy Dual Electrode plugs. Do not cheap out. It is an OEM minimum requirement. Next tip, make sure they are PRE-GAPPED! Have them checked. Have them double checked before you buy them.
