For those who have one. Who did your installation? I have a performance shop here that says they can do it, but I'm thinking maybe I should take it to a transmission shop where they have more experience. Any problems that arose in the course of the install?

Yeah, next week is going to be fun. What we got there is Work Euroline FS's in 18x8.5 and 9.5, thanks to Tommy (Lexus GS3) a Veilside Executive wing, L_Tuned shocks, H&R springs, Precision Industries Dragon torque convertor, SRT intake/ecu and not shown is the Carson tuned exhaust which is being delivered Monday..

I had my TC installed at the lexus dealer. The mechanic was specifically recommended by a other CL members that had the same work done [TC, LSD, etc]. I was still within my warranty at the time so I paid the dealership premium. If I was out of warranty the choice would have been a lot harder.

Thanks. I'm under CPO warranty. Didn't the TC void your warranty? I was hoping to hide the fact that I installed an aftermarket TC in my car.

I had the dealer install the LSD at the same time. I'm sure it did void the warranty but I wanted to have the Lexus mechanic look around for any other damage [CPO covered] while he was doing the install. Then I could have them fix any problems prior to voiding my warranty for those portions of the car. And the mechanic/dealer backed the install if there were any problems.

That's cool. I'm in Kentucky though and I doubt my dealrship is as mod friendly as the ones in Cali. I'll give them a call in the morning and see what they say. Thanks for the input.

Default DOES CARSON TOYOTA HAVE THE T/C AND LSD?

I am thinking of installing the T/C and the LSD in my 99 GS4, and I would like to know what a good price for the parts would be. Since I am in California, shipping will not be a problem. I intend to install both items myself.

Everyone says that acceleration will be markedly increased, making it easier to hit the limiter between shifts. I know gas mileage will be worse, but I am wondering how much it will decrease. If anyone can give me an idea, I would be appreciative. Hopefully these gasoline proces will go down somewhat, but it is still manageable...so far! I still love my car, and will not give it up just for poor gas mileage.

Thanks

carson toyota has both, the tc is about 900 i think and the lsd (assume supra one) would be as high as 1350 to 1400, not cheap. as usual, very damn heavy stuff

gas mileage, i would say decrease by about 4-5mpg? and yes, i have driven one with them before, the accel is insane for the car
