The intake manifold is a full custom (not Dave H. special) but one of job. Also, again I repeat this is NOT a GTE head. Many thought because of the way the custom intake manifold and the routing of the pipes that we did a GTE head. No this is still our IS300 GE head (which has been full worked in every aspect). Not going into item by item, but basically EVERY part of this car has been customized or modified except for maybe the water pump, and few other minor components. Finally this is NOT my '01 IS300 that people know of from my Super Street and Auto Week write from last year. This is a '04 IS300 that I purchase new and put 1,000 miles to break in and turned over to SRT/Mo to start this project this year March.
The goal of this car was not just to put $$ into a car to be the prettiest car but to somewhat establish (set goal/level) the IS300 as a true tuner car (as you guys may notice recently on features of IS300/IS430 on this month's issues of Super Street and SCC mags-although the set ups features were so so but the recognition and interest from the industry...) in the car tunning world not just in the IS300 world. That's the reason we went with the GE head. Many have already achieved what we are trying to achieve with the GTE head (mainly Supras), but that 1k whp club has been tough to do with the GE head. We have addressed every angle and situation when building this car (basically over build it), and we hope to give our fellow IS enthusiasts something to brag about to other car maker enthusiasts (basically some serious respect).
