Nuun is the man as far as Lexus certified master mechanics go, he is well respected by members of SELOC and is the person we all request when getting dealer service done.

You couldnt make a better choice at a dealership.

While I don't have FI I did have Mahdavi install my Tein Flex coilovers, the Tein EDFC, and my SAFC-lI. They did a perfect job, and they're friendly car enthusiasts so I give them a big . We're lucky to have Mahdavi here in the Atlanta area. And no, I'm not sponsored by them (or anyone).

I am looking into getting some installs soon and I'd like to know who would be the best to go to as far as service/price, etc.
Absolutely.

VVTi, aka Nuum, is a very good tech as well as a friend. He and the folks over at Hennessy bend over backwards for us at SELOC or anyone we recommend over there. They are the best dealership by far to get any work around here. We have a member that drives over 50 miles just to have his car serviced by Nuum. He drives by several other dealerships in lieu of having Nuum take care of his car. Nuum was the first Lexus Master tech in that dealership. Joe Gaunt is the service manager and also tops with us at SELOC. He caters to us in scheduling and letting only Nuum work on our cars. Can't say enough good things about Hennessy Lexus, Joe, and specially Nuum.

Are the installs/service issues warranty related?

No, they are not. I just want to get some that has experience and knows what they are doing, as well as a decent price.

I don't know or trust anyone around here to work on my GS, so I'd be willing to drive the 3 hrs. to ATL.

That HKS PowerFlow intake draws in more air than I have ever seen. I have had them on both my 300Z and Xterra. On my old Z in 90 the element was foam with a felt liner on the outside. Now they are oiled foam.

You are right. They have had good results from it, hence it's on their installs. Good eye.

Is it just the picture or does that grill have really bad fitment?

Grill fitment seems to be an ongoing challenge and it's not always a problem with the grill. The top edge is a real challenge especially on 'open' designs because it can be tightened down in a way where it's held in place unevenly pulled down. The design of the RMM grill makes it very hard to get a straight even fit across the top but you can get close with some work. The L-Tuned grill I have now can also have fitment problems, but that's less the design of the grill as it is to installation, not being careful to tighten the bolts in a way that doesn't clamp down the grill in a position where the top edge is essentially bent down a bit here or there. I adjusted my L-Tuned grill bolts a while back and now it's absolutely straight across the top. Prior to doing that it looks almost as bowed down as that pic.
