Default Owners of RMM Sport Mufflers.......

I just got my RMM Sport Mufflers and hope to have them on sometime today. I have listened to the sound files before purchase and it sounded pretty muzzled, which is what I am after.

I looked them over and see that they are straight through design. I am hoping that they will be a nice, not harsh, sound, but I would like to hear from anyone who has had these on for some time....

My question is : Are they gonna get louder over time or do they maintain their same sound level as when brand new???? Thanks!

I don't know how they sound when new but they are pretty mellow. I would not call them deep or throaty but it growls a bit if you open the car up. It has very little to no drone on a 400. I've been in RMMGS4's car and was relatively surprised how quiet it is going around town.

I liked it enough to get one for my GS300. There is a llittle more drone on my 300 vs RMMGS4's 400 but not bad at all. Since I got mine used and I never heard RMMGS4's car when the exhaust was new, I don't have the answer for your sound changes over time question.

Thanks, Neo.... they are on and I was very suprised that a straight-thru muffler could be so quiet!
As a matter of fact, I would not mind if it does get a little more volume.

I have noticed a definite improvement in acceleration, in addition to the already modified air intake.

Now, since no one else responded to this question, I will see(hear) what happens over the next few weeks as far as rumble is concerned.

Thumbs up

I've had mine on for about 9 or 10 months (about 18k miles) and they sound the same as when I got them.

Thanks, Future.... that is just what I wanted to know.... Must be good packing in the muffler that it does not burn out, like fiberglass does. Maybe stainless steel wool???

I love the sweet sound the RMM makes!

Yeah, they are excellent quality and a very mellow sound (not too loud!) The intake makes more noise than the exhaust does...
