a few preliminary runs...
Man, I gotta work on my launch technique!
With these mods I am getting excessive tire spin (no real surprise) and really need to work on hooking up on the launch.
So far, the best run is a 5.60 with MASSIVE, smoking tire spin! Looks way cool, but not good for times. Just did a quick run on a side street this morning with cold tires and NO torque braking. Just stomped on the gas and was amazed at how easy I spun the Goodyears! I will be going up to a 285 width tire soon which will help some ( a bit wider and taller).
With a good burnout to warm up the tires, and a decent launch I have no doubt I can get to very low 5 seconds. Need to find enough room to do a 1/4 mile run... stay tuned

LOL!!
"...like a crazed tiger going after a succulent deer..!" Very descriptive (and appropriate).
Anybody got a set of slicks they can loan me?

low 5 on the gs4, now that's power i tell ya. the gs4 is heavy (well, not light), and that kind of speed is just insane
and yeah, now you know why i said i have to relearn driving again huh? after leaving todd's shop, i got on 405N and i almost crashed coz' the car accel too fast and almost hit the car in the front
it's been couple of months and i am used to the new driving habit now. off from stop i am always easy on the gas, otherwise i can get reckless driving tickets from cop every day coz' i have a heavy foot

It will work on GS3 since it uses the stock ring gear. The major diff. between GS4 and GS3 are the pinion and ring gear ratio, everything else's the same.

The torsen carrier should fit the GS300 differential housing but you probably would not want to just swap in the 3.77 (3.769) ratio Supra TT automatic assembly. The GS300 has a higher gear ratio from the factory at 3.92 (3.916).
Here is the gearing for a stock GS300
1st 3.357
2nd 2.180
3rd 1.424
4th 1.000
5th 0.753
Reverse 3.431
Differential Ratio 3.916
Since traction is usually not the problem on the GS300 (unless turbo/supercharger/nitrous is installed) the limited slip or torsen diff is not worth the time money and effort.
