U do better at some than others due to where it is located.

BTW, your comment that "Theory states that its impossible..." is illogical IMO. Theories do not make claims to what is or is not possible , rather what is probable based on the evidence. An important distinction (although definitely off topic

The point remains that , given the power output of your car with the mods, and the fact that it was driven by a "good driver" ( I'll take your word for it) then a 14.9 E.T. is rather slow. As you said, it could be the track or weather conditions etc.
For example, another member with an LS400 (jbrady) has run a 14.22 E.T. with less HP and more weight. 7/10 second in the 1/4 mile is a BIG difference....
