Question

I'm trying to figure out if I want to put a LSD on my GS4. Is the TRD LSD the same one that they are putting on the new SC? If not will the one on the SC fit our cars?

Anybody have comments that rate the various LSDs (Eg. RMM might require ECU changes for gear ratio calibrations or 1 clutch plate vs 3 clutch plates etc...)

TIA,

Peter

Peter,

As far as I know, there is no LSD on the new SC430, nor the SC400/300. The IS300 is the only one with it as an option.

As far the various types, the TRD is a clutch type. I and other members thought this is the best setup for the GS. Do a search on this forum with the key words "limited Slip" and you will see past discussions of the topic.

If you're interested, Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota (1-800-908-6968 ext. 2381) still has a unit or two under the old price of $800. Once he's out, it's at least $150 more and a 1 month wait from Japan.

I had done a search before posting but seemed to have missed the one thread (yours! ) that has the most relevant info.

Thanks for the pointer.
