Question feathering torque converter?

I'm really thinking about getting the TC. I've already got the 3.76 LSD and love that.

My questions are as follows

What is it like to drive in stop and go traffic? Do you run the risk of wild acceleration and running into the guy in front of you? What does it do below 2800 rpm? Can you creep along at 10 mph go up to 20 and back down to 15mph, I ask because this is what the freeway is like a lot of the time.

I know it must work below 2800 rpm or it would be impossible to live with.

thanks

You have nothing to worry about bro! It is very controllable and easy to drive.

There is no simpler way to describe the feeling other than to say that the car is more responsive, but is still very linear in power delivery. Now you just have to press the throttle less, that's all.

Just get it. You will wonder how you ever lived without those two mods - the lsd and tc.

I drive in heavy stop and go traffic every day and there are no problems. I also e-shift quite a bit, though. It's not like popping a clutch at 2800 RPM, there's a gradual lockup.

well the only time i almost rear end the car in front of me was when i first installed the tc AND the lsd together and got on the freeway. the car ran way too fast and i had to hard brake just to slow it down..... it was so stupid

if you drive very slow, i think the tranny is just slipping a bit before 2800rpm. i dont' think it's anything bad at all
