faster 60-100 w/tc or without?

We need to specify... is the question cruising at 60 and then going WOT and running to 100mph? Or, beginning the acceleration from below 60 and timing the 60-100 segment?

If cruising and then dropping the throttle open... then the quicker shifting response of the TC would give that car the advantage and it would be a faster run.

If accelerating from below 60mph there may or may not be an advantage. If the TC is smaller diameter and or lighter weight than the stock unit there will be more power transfered. This is like going to a lighter flywheel... the car will accelerate faster.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the stock converter? Diameter? Weight, with and without oil?
