Default Tranny slipping?!

Hi guys, i dont know if anyone has the same problem as i do. But heres my problem, the past 2 or 3 weeks, i felt my car shift kinda weird, when it shift from 2nd to 3rd i feel the jerk, very noticeable. and after i get to school every day which is 24miles away, when i look for parking spot at school i hardly give gas but i notice when i give gas it will rev up to 1200rpm and it doesnt really move. it was really like rev on Neutral, i am taking the car in for tranny oil change and diff. oil change. i dont know if thats the problem or should i just ask the dealer check it??
by the way my car has 90k miles.
thanks for comments

Edit: even i havent been step on the gas hard at all, and never go over 70mph, i get 16mpg or less, i usually get above 19mpg with flooring and 80+mph

Have you had your tranny fluid changed lately? Fluid level ok?

Check your tranny fluid. If it's OK, you can try adding Lucas Transmission Treatment and hope for the best,.. That stuff does miracles sometimes..

you check the tranny fluid while the car is running (let it run for a minute or 2

you want it to be a deep red and not smell burnt and make sure its at the right level

every 30,000 miles you should get it changed

glad to hear your problem went away

My guess is your tranny is done, I had a similar problem when mine went. The lurching inbetween shifts is the actual slipping of the clutches. Mine finally just would not move at all. If I reveed it up to about 4K it would creep at about 5mph thats it. Then wehn it cooled down it would run fine again. Supposedly there is some sort of temp sensor in the tranny, the slipping causes additional heat ant teh sensor shuts down the transmission. At least that is how it was explained to me.
