Default FI Guys - where to get one step colder plugs for FI GS4

FI Guys,

Need to replace my plugs which somehow got flooded and fouled. Where have you sourced your spark plugs? I don't know what Mo at SRT put in mine other than they're one step colder than regular plugs (so not sure if they're irridium or something else).

Recommendations?

SRT's line is busy... need to find an anwer fairly quickly.

If I don't, what's the risk wtih running 'normal' plugs? More potential for detonation?

Yes, it is usually recommended to do this although until today I didn't really ask 'why'. Mo said that a higher heat range plug (such as stock) can cause pre-ignition and detonation in FI cars.

I just ordered mine from sparkplugs.com - honestly didn't do any comparison shopping. I just wanted to find a place on the west coast (to leverage time difference to ship my order out today so we could have it tomorrow AM) that had 'em in stock.

My total was $154.35 including $32.75 for overnight shipping (I bought 16 of them to have a set on hand if I need them again. Sounds a lot cheaper than your guy

Edit - ps pump replaced and also new timing belt, SC belt.

The engine got flooded all the way down to the plugs which were wet. I think it happened because the battery had been unplugged / ecu was re-learning and just pumped more fuel than the car could handle with my upgraded pump and injectors.

I probably could have run the same plugs with a little cleaning, but I'm just paranoid. Has not happened again
