Hi guys, just a couple questions, I have a stock GS300, and have heard about the sway bars and ECU. I'm obviously looking for a tighter and faster ride, but really don't want to void my warranty as car only has 7K on it. I've heard that L-Tuned won't void it, is L-Tuned a suspension component ? Also, if I install the ECU, are there significant performance gains, and will I eat through gas quickly because of it ? And what will the part cost, if I ask Steve ? As for the sway bar (is there only one ?), does it install over the engine block, and will I have to permanently remove my engine cover also ? Cost also ? Sorry about all the questions, thank you for any help you can offer.

lexuspride - L-tuned is another name for TRD but for lexus.

The l-tuned ecu won't give you any performance gains. All it does is give you better steering feel . Makes the steering tighter at high speeds. I think it cost around 150.00 , just a guess though. I know its not more than that.

There are 2 sway bars. A front and a rear sway bar. It goes under your car. It cost no more than 600.00 .

A strut tower brace goes on top of your engine . TRD and L-tuned doesn't have one for the 300 . RMM has one though and you would have to remove your engine cover. It costs around 250.00 .

All the l-tuned parts will carry warranty as long as you have a lexus dealer install them. TRD and RMM doesn't have the warranty as fas as i know.

Any more questions ? Just yell.

Thank you 1niceride, I got confused by the ECU, I meant the intake for acceleration, do you know who makes that for the 300 and how much ? Also what does the strut tower brace do as opposed to just installing the 2 sway bars ? Thank you so much.

hey Lexuspride:

So far if you just wanna go subtle changes to make your acceleration goes faster, I think Swiftracing's ECU intake system is worth of your money. They also have a Torque converter coming out soon. basically their High Flow Intake would enables you to do better from 35~100mph, and the TC would helps out the low end torque. basically you can push your GS to 7.0 flat. (i think?) However, if you wish to do more, there is TRD LSD would enhance your gear radio.

mind you, Don't get the HFI system if you are planning on getting the Supercharger. since Supercharger includes it in the kit anywayz.

lexuspride - the best intake out there for our cars is Swift's . His intake w/ecu gives you 22hp and 24 torque . It is currently on sale for 675 for a limited time.

There is also the RMM intake i forgot how much it cost but know its less than Swift's. It's just a intake wo/ecu.
Have not heard of anything good about this one.

The strut tower brace stiffens your chassis up even more and reduces body roll. The stb and sways serve the same purpose imho. I just have the stb and love it so far. Will be getting the sways and Tom's coilovers in a little bit to finish the job up.

If you want performance get Swift's intake and a torque converter . The TC is suppose to drop your 0-60 time by half a second.

Hope this helps.
