Turbocharged GS400 project; and so it has begun
Well many of you know that I elected to change out my FI system from a supercharger to a Turbo. Well the good news is that it is coming together nicely. I have to head out so I will post a couple photos that the shop sent me and get into any requested details later. This was a long time in coming I am just so happy to finally see some parts bolted up to the engine.

BTW, is that your car over at Mahdavi's? Just curious, as they will be installing my coil overs and EDFC. They seem like real good people.

Yea Jeff thats me on the second to last bay, its been there fore some time waiting on the transmission but even that is in now.
well I spent the eveneing over there, welded up the down pipes and tac welded all the IC piping, we should be able to fire it up tomorrow and see what it sounds like YEA BaBY!! Have to finish the IC piping oil return lines blow off valve and wastegate.
The 1UZ bottom end is supposed to be pretty stout from the factory but I am going to start building a low compression engine this summer hopefully. That way if and when the engine goes I alrealdy have something to put in the car. In the mean time we are going to stay between 8-10 PSI, whatever it takes to make 450 at the wheels. I know it can do 10 PSI becuase I was doing thta with the supercharger. So 8 should be fine, we also redid all the exhaust back to the mufflers, so the cats are gone too. 3 inch piping all the way to the resonators.

Glad your transmission finally arrived...I thought I remember reading a while back that you were concerned that the company that did your rebuild was taking an extraordinary amount of time and that there was some confusion as to when they said they shipped it and when they actually did. Anyway, hope everything is on track now!
