Just got my oil , K@N filter, and drain plug/gasket from my local parts store... How tight does the drain plug have to be and do i need to buy a new gasket and plug every time i change the oil...

Changing the oil tomorrow..... thanks for the replies.... tmf

i could look up the torque for ya

but to be honest just make it snug man
DONT overtighten

you dont need to buy a new plug but you can replace the gasket

i dont replace every oil change ....every other to be safe but i doubt its going to leak but you never know lol



i would really returm the drain plug back tot he store no need to change it

Thanks johonny. I'm going to follow the DIY thread to change the oil. I have ramps, jack, and car jack... Not sure which one to use.. I've used the ramps in the past but not sure if that is good due to the angle of the car and oil going back into the pan and not draining....

Oh by the way see if you can come acroos a white mesh grille for me... Used of course but in good shape.... I think those look the best.... Thanks tony
