Go to www.unothodoxracing.com and click the Ultra SS icon in the left oval grid then click the drop down menu and select Lexus. We have seen 14-18 HP at the wheels on the GS300 kit. The kit includes crank, alternator and water pump pulleys. We also have a single cam gear that can be used on the exhaust cam in conjunction with the VVTi on the intake cam, we saw 7-11 HP on the cam gear on our tester cars. We also have had the Ultra SS kit for the 93-98 models for 2 years now and these earliers cars can use two cam sprockets because there is no VVTi and we have seen 5-10 HP on the pair of gears.

i think you mean 98-01 because the 98 GS is 2nd generation as well. please explain, so there is only one cam gear? how could we get a 2nd one?

does this affect the battery charging because the alternator wheel is possibly smaller?

Default 2nd Cam Gear and Battery Charging

A second cam gear is not possible with the VVTi, the VVTi is a really good system and we would not recommend changing out our for street or street/strip. As far as the battery charging and voltage goes we test every pulley kit we make to maintain accessory outputs within factory specified levels. With our pulleys owners can run stereos as high as 600 watts before a deep cycle battery or capacitors are needed. Alot of people see dimming but what they forget is that electrical systems are 12 volt systems but the factories tend to overcharge everything by running at 14.5 volts. With the pulleys we maintain 12.5-13.5 volts with all eletrical accessories on including up to a 600 watt stereo so it may seem that voltage is low but as long as it does not go below 12 volts there will never be a problem.

Where is a good place to get these installed in So.Cal if I get them? How hard is the installation?

Is the cam gear you're talking about, the Ultra TR adjustable cam sprockets?

When combining the Ultra SS set and the single cam gear, there could be a 21hp~ 29hp gain at the wheels?

5000 dollars on pulleys and intake and TC and exhaust? Sasha where did you leave the bolt-on turbo at?

It's cool. 2JZ never dies.

Default pulley sizes

Jim,
I spoke with the Lexus dealer and the pulley for the alternator is the sampe part number. The steering wheel and water pump pulleys are different. I'll try to contact you Monday but just wanted to tell you sooner

Ricky (the guy from Hawaii)
I am still interested in the crank pulley

unorthodox:

why did you say the VVTi intake cam shouldn't be changed but your website sells the cam gears as a pair?

Default VVTi and cam gears

You cannot change the intake cam gear on a VVTi motor, any of the vehicles that have VVTi we only sell a single cam gear for the exhaust side. We sell pairs for models w/o VVTi.

Shawn,

Is your site down because it seems that I couldn't have the access to it?

Shawn

This is what your website says:

Lexus GS300* 93-01 3.0 L 0512007_ (Pair) $535.00

So, if my car is GS300 93~97, I get a pair and if my car is GS300 98~01, I only get one?

My car is 2000 GS3, which is WITH VVTi, so I only get one, then do I still pay 535? Or 279.00 like the IS300?

Can you please clarify this please, because your website seems to mix ALL GS300s together, from 93~01. Thanks shawn.
