To answer that question of how close to 30K I spent, let's just say that we met in the middle. The seller is just an awesome guy - this is his second GS that he's owned. He really wanted to keep the car but the wife/kid thing wouldn't let him. So I paid a little over Kelley Blue Book for the car which was $21K. Either way, I'm happy with my purchase cause I'm sure I'm getting one awesome car.

Well, I'm looking to sell some stock parts from the 400 - Nakamichi audio, stock exhaust, etc. Anybody know where I can sell them other than ebay? And, he has a new torque converter (???) to handle all that power. I think I'll keep my user name cause I still have my 98 Lexus GS 300 (this is my everyday car - 150K miles and still going strong). I'll use the 400 for special occasions. I just love the GS's and for the reliability, luxury, and performance - there's no car quite like it. I had Bimmers, Benzes, Porsches - the GS 400 is my dream car. Thanks everybody for your input.

not that it matters but was the seller white, in his mid 40's, late 30's?
reason I ask is when I had my DWP IS and was getting my 1/4 timeslips at Carlsbad Raceway, there was a RMM/Stillen SC gs400 there. Same setup, but the engine cover was different. I don't remember the times he was getting, I'm thinking 13s, high 13s... he was beating a majority of the cars lining up with him early, then they started lining him up with the trailer cars with the parachutes in the back.. He said fock it after that. But the car was very quiet, thats what made me go the Vortech route.

Yeah, as a matter of fact, the guy was white. And, yes he claims he went to Carlsbad. Said that he could have gone faster with drag radials. So, I guess this is the same car? I'm kinda scared to drive it too hard - it just feels that the power is so awesome - almost endless. It's riding on Potenza S03s so the rubber is real soft. As far as the torque converter goes, I have no idea what rpm it's running at. This car was a Rod Millen prototype car and has all RMM parts. I get so many "challenges", but I just bump up the music and cruise. All these kids and their acura integras here in so cal - it's not even funny how many of these guys come up at the stop light and just want to race.
