I'm really wondering if the GS400 and 430 use the same torque converter. I'm guessing that if the trannys are the same they use the same Tq converter. I''ve checked 2 people and they were no sure but said that they would check.

they are the same. you use the same tq converter for both

Thanks Rominl. I thought that I read in a post awhile back that they were different and maybe that was part of the cause of the CEL code with the PI tq converter. I think the 400 tranny is # A- 341E was not sure the model # of the 430 tranny.

After checking out Lextreme.com I'm not sure if the 400/430 has the A 340E , A 341E tranny or something else.

the cel on the gs430 with tc is some sensors that are connected to the tranny, not coz' of teh tranny itself. i checked and from what i was, the tc for the gs400 and gs430 are the same.
