Well folks, I got ahold of the California vehicle code and it states that no film of any kind is allowed on the front windows. There might have been an exclusion for medical reasons however. I tried to go to my local police station in Santa Barbara. The cop was supportive and said he would not have given me the ticket but because it was up in Monterey, CA, he could do nothing. Well, there is a happy ending though I am poorer as a result. I received the letter from the court giving me specific instructions. If I have the violation fixed (remove the tint from the front side windows) I then send in $10.00. Or I can send in $77.00 and not send in proof of correction. Well I am $70.00 poorer and the establishment in Monterey is richer. Kind of makes you patriotic doesn't it.

Hmmm, cops are the worse vagrant violator of that law with their "umarked" Crown Vics with limo tint "on all windows". Actually by law, we can pull over a cop and have them cited. Any takers?
