I'm defenitely interested too!(heat shield) By the way did you notice the difference? You wouldn't happen to know approximetly how much did you lower the temp.

I was very hesitant to buy a filter kit because, I had thought of the heat that warms the intake tube, thus increasing intake temp.

I know I've also asked you this before, but I will try one more time. TMR did you put those green clamps to eliminate the hot water from going into the intake area.
The reason I ask, I remember a few years ago, Lance did a similar mod to my MR2 Turbo. He bypass a hot water line that was designed to go through the throttle/intake area to warm up the air, for cold climates.
I live in Miami so I don't have that problem. I need to look into my engine compartment to see If I see if the IS uses the same system.

Well, yes. I had him make a few of them but I didn't see much interest on the IS300 board. I was planning on selling the sheild and the stuff needed to bypass the hot water going to the throttle body. I made close to 6HP gain on the dyno. And driving the car around I could definately see a differance. Say I go out for a few miles. Come back and pop the hood, I grab on the srt, and its cool, so is the TB. It works good. I can have the sheild made for about $60 and figure the water line relocater for like $15. Anyhow, if some of you guys are still interested, I have him make 5 or so more. Let me know.

No, the green pieces are just clamps clamping it off. That was just for testing.

honestly, I have no clue. Here is a little test you can do. Drive your car and as soon as you get home, pop the hood and feel if the stock intake pipe is hot. If its to hot to touch, it will probably help.

Hey TMR, I read that you made a 6 HP gain with the heat shield, what was your dyno with the SRT alone?
