It was defenitly toyomoto, but the Lexus who ran 10's build by Lance, was owned by Andy. But who knows, I also saw another SC300 that lance built, I don't remember his name, but I know it was a 97 and it was blue.

Yeah, I talked to Jeff online a year or so ago, also ran into him at an autocross event two months ago while racing my Z28. His car looked great and he had an amazing electronics setup.
I still haven't been able to find anyone with a good understanding of the 2JZGE fuel system. The most common method is to add two additional 550cc injectors and a Rebic controller, but I believe there is a more efficient solution. Stock MKIV TT injectors are available for $275 and they flow 550cc. I've read that stock 2JZGE injectors are 440cc. I figure with 550cc injectors, a fuel pressure regulator, and an S-AFC, the car will have potential for at least 10psi. Can anyone verify this?
BTW,
Anyone know of a 92-94 SC300 w/ 5 speed available in South Florida?
Thanks for the help,
Peter Cudmore

hmm I cannot answer that question I am sorry, the fuel could be right but I dont know why dont you call toyomoto or Mo and SRT. That is a tuner question and only one of them would be able to answer correctly that kinda thing..

Do you happen to have those phone numbers? I'll try to give them a call. I was just hoping I could find someone with an unbiased opinion on this issue. I'm trying to do this project on a rather tight budget.
Thanks again,

Correction, stock injectors are 330cc, this should definitely provide ample fuel support.
Additional injector method: 6x330 + 2x550 = 3080cc
My idea: 6x550 = 3300cc
Also, how do you keep the ECU from seeing boost? Simple check valves work? Whatever the turbo kits are using will probably work.

I'm not 100% on this, but the 550cc injectors are of a different impedance than the 330s on the SC300. Also, by using an Apexi S-AFC, you can control fuel under open loop conditions, but it can't modify the fuel very much in closed loop low throttle conditions. That would leave an over-rich condition most of the time. The only real solution if you want the 6x550 injectors is to go VPC... This can manipulate the air flow data to correspond to the injectors. The VPC has a "chip" that calibrates it to the fuel system. Lance at Toyomoto can program the chip.
As far as the ECU "seeing" boost, I haven't seen any real problems. The turbo kits typically include an auxiliary injection controller for the extra injectors, but this doesn't start operating until a preset amount of boost, say 2psi, or so.
The 6x550cc injectors would be nice, but you'll probably want the VPC to control it, not the S-AFC.
An ultimate "kit" for me in retrospect after doing it once would be:
Sound Performance SP60 turbo
Sound Performance HKS equal length manifold
Toyomoto hard pipes
HKS FMIC
HKS VPC with GCC
Supra TT fuel pump
6x550 cc injectors or two extra 550s with controller
Apexi AVC-R
Toyomoto custom Downpipe
Toyomoto custom Midpipe
Greddy MX exhaust
EGT gauge
Air/fuel gauge
boost gauge
RPS stage 3 sprung disk clutch
Above items $10k? excluding labor
Next step up....
Sound Performance SP63 turbo $$?? $2k?
SP fuel system $2300
6spd Supra TT tranny/diff $$???

Unfortunately, you are correct about the injectors. I have heard that it may be possible to adapt the TT injectors to work in a low impedance setup. If I was looking to run 10-15 psi, what kind of additional injector setup would you recommend using. If I did that would I need to buy any other electronics?
or
Why not use something like 450cc injectors from RC. They sell some that should work in the 2JZGE.

Sounds like an adjustable fuel pressure regulator could solve the air/fuel ratio problems at partial throttle. Has anyone tried this?
Thanks for the help,
