cool.. should be very powerful. with the abs pump there piping it will be a PITA. I would weld an elbow to the compressor outlet and clock it differently to make pipe blowoffs less likely.
Hey guys newb here. I was wondering where you guys picked up your aristo 2jzgte. i see alot on ebay and other places. just want to make sure I am getting a quality motor. also what kind of power are you guys getting? and if you don't mind my asking i'd like to know just how much it will set me back to do the swap? PM if you wish.
just wondering cause i have an extra set of 2jzgte ones...
did you use the mounts yet? i did mine a few days ago. I mic'd the height of the two and the Supra mounts come out just under a 1/4" shorter (good for me.. lower CG) and they are urethane as opposed to the liquid filled Lexus mounts (also a plus for me) but it will mean a harsher feel in the car idling.
The bottom stud on the Supra mounts is thicker, but if you look at the GS subframe and the hole for the mount stud to go thru, it is double layered. The top layer is the proper size for the GTE mount and the lower layer needs to be ported out to match. That's it. Just match the holes together and it will drop right in. My engine is visibly lower in the engine bay than it was before.. as evidenced by the valve cover to the firewall clearance. I may actually be able to fit an Aristo STB over my twins now.
