And I could find close up pics of the ECU where? I would like to see the cover, the cut, etc. so it could help with the install.

But in all I am still thinking about it, the noise for one and the effect (is any from what I have read) on the 300's

I have a 400 so my pictures would not help you. The ECU box shouldn't be too difficult to find - will be the one with all the wires underneath the cover!!

As for the cut - You want to see a picture of a cut wire??

I can take pictures of all of this on the 400 but I am sure it may help if someone with a 300 jumped in here!

I would not order from lextasy. Too many bad stories out there no matter how many people say they had a good experience. I wouldnt take the chance.

contact SRT directly, they were really helpful with instructions. I would spring the extra 20-30 bucks and purchase from someone more reputable too.

No! I ordered lights from them, and they sent them in a letter envelope! with paper surrounding them. I wouldn't trust them.

I'm a little confused, I thought the SRT intake came with a completly different ECU. That justified the higher price. Why would you need to splice into anything?

It comes with a box that reprograms the ECU. The box that comes with the intake ties into power, ground, and then interupts the signal for two sensors. One of the sensors is routed through the provided box. I also thought for a long time that it was just plug and play, but it ties into the existing system.

Thanks for the clearification. I assume the same applies to the GS300 as well.

A new ECU would cost hundreds of dollars. So yes, would be the same on any vehicle.
