Just wondering if anyone committed to buying already has heard any updates on delivery? I'm thinking it should start happening pretty soon... Looking forward to hearing installation stories, and more importantly, the results! Hope to get mine in the next week or two!

Arent headers illegal here in Cali?

 

Just saw that they debited the remaining money from my bank account so I guess we should be receiving them anyday now

Now I just have to come up with the money to get them installed!!

I also found my CC had been debited for the balance of the cost for the headers so I guess they will be shipping very soon!

What number are you??

It may be a couple of weeks before I get mine installed so you may be the first on here to have them installed. As soon as mine are in I am putting in my S-AFC2 and getting it tuned so we can have a good idea what type of numbers we are doing.

I think I'm number 16, but I assume they will all go out at the same time more or less...
It may be a while before I can get mine installed too-lots of expenses right now ! I want to get an SAFC installed as well but not sure when I can do it.

 

Hey man,

I just picked up a brand new S-AFC2 for $264 shipped. I will be posting a DIY on installation for it - so all you will have to pay for is getting it tuned. It should help a great deal with the headers. If not, I guess I will be the guinea pig so you can see what my car does before you spend the money.

Thanks Jonny, I will be anxious to see how the install goes. It sounds like it is pretty straight forward-getting someone who really knows how to tune it on the dyno may be another story. I plan on checking some sources for a good shop in So. Cal. Hope to find a good shop for the header install too...

 

Just spoke to the company and they are NOT being shipped yet. The balance is debited when the headers are sent to be plated (Jet Hot coated) not when they are shipped to the customer. So, it should be about another week or so before the first batch is ready for shipping. You can request an email notification with tracking number.

 

Also the place where they were getting coated was effected by the big storm. Our headers are in a que to be processed from the coating company.

 

So what were peoples best quotes on getting them installed on the GS400?? Mine was 17 hours at $68 per hour

my friend said he would charge me bout 150-200 to do it, keep car for a few days. he wasn't too worried about it. Now I just need to buy a set.
