i was on http://www.ngk.com and it lists the gs400 application as something else:

http://ngk.com/results_app.asp?AAIA=1356072

and that the IFR6A11 no longer exists?

Default what spark plug do u recommend PART II

this is in reference to this earlier poll i had posted up:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/pol...ts&pollid=1463

it seems like everyone is using torquemasters.

i know that when going from old plugs to new ones it always feels stronger... but has ne1 here gone from new ngk or denso plugs to torquemasters? i thought i read a post somewhere of someone having done this but i can't find it... must be my imagination.

Merged your threads, no need to start a second one .

I put Denso Irridiumin AFTER my TM's and wanted to change back to TMs. Did it as a matter of convenience (couldn't get my hands on a set of TMs) but had a perceived (butt-dyno) and real (dyno) reduction in RWHP after removal of the TMs.

Mean Gene did his original dyno test on pretty new Denos vs TMs if I recall correctly.

Default Contact SUPRATRD ( Carson Toyota rep)

I just received and installed a set of 6 TM plugs from Carson Toyota. My GS300 is definitely smoother and more responsive and definitely feels quicker--not just me but my family also noticed the difference.

PM Steve( SUPRATRD) about the TM pricing, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised . You'll have to order via l-tunedparts.com website.

I heartily recommend these spark plugs--there is no downside (however I've had them on only about 1000 miles)

I just replaced my TM plugs with about 50k miles on them with the stock plugs with 50k miles. The idle on the car was getting rough with the TM plugs. To my surprise the idle (in D) is now smoother. Gas mileage is the same so far and I'm not sure on the overall power output. I'm not sure if the TM plugs are getting worn out. There is no gap spec. for the TM plugs. If your idle is a little rough with the TM plugs you might want to try swapping them out.

Also I didn't reset the ECU, so the ECU should still be retaining the same running parameters.

-Jeff

P.S. If anyone wants my old plugs for $20 including shipping, PM me.

Dave - I'm back!! I haven't dropped in for a LONG time & thought I'd check up on ya'll. Here's the link to my TM comparison experiment: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/performance/50745-tm-dyno-results-awesome.html
As for my G35, I'm building an AEBS motor w/Darton sleeves ( it'll be a 3.8 liter ) & going w/ a "T" trimmed Vortech ( for now ). The heads will have a mild port/polish & 1mm oversized Ferrea valvetrain & Jim Wolfe Technology cams. Using Arias HD pistons, Pauter rods & NISMO crank, I expect to make 550-600 rwhp on the S/C plus I've upgraded the fuel system to handle another 150 hp shot of nitrous! The block's @ AEBS now & should be back to me in January for the rest of the install. Of course the stereo's done ( w/ Focal Utopias & Eclipse sub & run off of older RF Power amps ). Well, not quite done as I just picked up a RF Symmetry which means I need to rewire the whole thing!
I'll post pics as things develop & it's good to drop in on my old friends!

Gene
