Default 98 GS300-Need Help

Fellas,

First post here and I need some help. Got a 98 GS300 with 167K on it. Last month I start the car, and when I hit the pedal, it doesn;t rev or move. Just....nothing. Check engine light came on with the VCS light. I try punching it and it moves a little faster than if I pushed it. So I shut it down till the next day.

Next day starts up and moves with no problem. Later that day the warning lights go off. I bring it into the shop thats maintained the car for past few years, and they tell me the codes indicate accelerator sensor module (think thats what they said). After 2 days, they can't find anything wrong or needs replacing. Said it could be loose wire, but couldn;t find anything so just ignore it.

Yesterday happened 4 times in 2 hours. Each time I shut the car off and gave it a minute. Started up and drove off till next time.

WTF???? Any ideas?

Thanks

Very much sounds like a loose wire.

Thanks for the reply. If you were in my shoes, what type of shop would you bring it to? A dealer or some other type? Don;t feel like getting ripped off, ya know?

You might probabaly need a new Throttle Body.

One of your sensors might be broken
Either the Throttle Control Motor, Throttle Position Sensor, or the Throttle Cable Position Sensor.
