Default Srt Intake Install

I got home from work last night and when I walk in I see the box from carson's.
(Thanks gordon for everything...excellent customer service).

I was going to leave it for the weekend but I couldn't help myself so after doing what I had to due last night with the fam (its about 11:30pm by then..LOL) i go and start to put this baby in. It took me about 30-45 mins to do everything. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to do. So I finally turn on the car and I hear the sweet sound of air rushing in near the engine bay. It didn't sound loud at all pretty much sounded like the other intakes that I have had on previous cars. soI let it warm up and took it out for a spin. I jumped on the grand central (highway near my residence) and opened that baby up to full throttle. WOW it suddenly made me very aware of the intake . I definitely noticed the difference. I agree with the other threads that I have read here that the power is really noticeable at the higher part of the band. So I drove around for a while and I must say I'm pretty happy with it.

I just thought I share my joy with everyone...

now i just have to install the magnaflows and the tein ss /edfc on saturday.

Congrats on your mod.

Glad to hear you like it.

Just curious, did you notice any loss in low end power, like accelerating from a stoplight, or have you not had a chance to really try it yet?

so, that's as long as it took you to solder the wires and put te intake in?? That was quick. I took like another half hour or so than you did because I was so nervous about splicing into the ECU...lol

i didn't feel any lost power in the low end it felt normal...

I have installed alot of radios/speakers/.amps etc. for muah and for friends so it was pretty easy.

the hard part was getting electrical power since I live in an apartment building and I was doing it in the garage of the building. I ran like 5 connected extension cords from a light socket to reach my car. and then i hoped the super wouldn't appear cause he's an a**hole.

tomorrow i install the magnaflows and the tein ss w/edfc...
