Sorry if this has been brought up before but I just purchased a 99 GS400 with 34k miles and the battery went dead after two days. My question is , what is the lifespan of a factory battery ? Two years seems very short to me . Has anyone had a similar experience ? I should add that I don't belive it sat very long on the dealer's lot . Any idea's appreciated .

Default 2 years

2 years is the average life span for a factory battery. When Lexus/Toyota used their previous brand (not sure who) they lasted a good solid 4 years. Since moving to AC Delco as the manufacturer the life span was reduced to 2 years on average. Most aftermarket batteries last between 3-5 years whether from form Exide, Interstate, or DiHard.
