By the way you can lock the car in 3rd for a better reading. I guess thats why your dyno for the GS4 was 225HP which is wrong?????????? Even the Techs at the dealer agrees that your readings are off alot.
No one is trying to start a war so lets not go there OK:eek:
Best way to resolve this is taking it on the road which I have already done but will do again just for fun.......
Y2KGS:

Please do not bash Mo from SRT. I am glad to see competition from other companies and I would hope that they would contact me about doing an independent review of their products.

I am more then glad to have them come on board as a sponsor if they wish.

I've been reading your posts and it seems like you are promoting WeaponR Intake for them on our forums. Please don't BUT you may talk about your direct experiences that you have with their products.

In defence to Mo he is very knowledgable about Lexus cars so I would highly recommend that you take what he says with some respect. "whew, Mo you owe me a drink for that long sentence".

no the RMM LOSES power in many cases. The Injen is being quietly "recalled" for those who are complaining about it for similar reasons to the RMM, the AEM is having similar problems too. The Weapon R has not been sufficiently evaluated, so it's hard to say, but I've got and idea.

That being said, with about $600 you can get the SRT or the Area 51 intake, both of which produce REAL hp, and have no problems.

I own an area 51, and have an unbiased evaluation thread open at is300.net, take a look if you are curious.

I was going to buy the SRT but opted for the A51 because I wanted something a little quieter than the SRT at highway cruising. I am quite happy with my purchase thus far.

Anyone can post WHP figures on their website, but only everyday people and owners can tell you the truth... that's what I based my purchase decision(s) on, not some BS dyno figures that someone posted on a corporate site.

I currently own a RMM intake and its not worth the cash, same with the weapon R intake and all the other worthless intakes for the IS. If your gonna do it right you gotta spend the money for your nice lexus and get either the SRT or AREA 51 intake. These two intakes with give you the best performance. I would prefer the AREA 51 because there box not only works great but looks great to. It fits nice and neat all along the intake route. Its a intake everyone should think about. I say again pay the money and do it right. Thats what seperates the posers from the real racers.

well I would say your beset bet would be to talk to other IS owners and see what they have and whether they like it and how it performs.... the best way to find out the best intake for your car is to talk to other ppl who own them... word of mouth is the best advertising and true rating of performance you can get sometimes......

RMM(which I had it was kinda beat)
SRT(never owned one so I dont know, but I hear they are good)
A51( also I hear is good)
Weapon R (dont know anyone who has one)
AEM(heard they are having first run issues)

You really think a weapon R intake will produce 16 at the wheels???

Wait for an independent dyno...don't take their word...

Why don't you get a spyralmax while your add it...they dyno tested their shiz too.

All I know is I see definate results. I have SRT, some friends have the SRT...some don't.

However, when a SRT car races a non-SRT car, the SRT definately pulls ahead.

Plus, I heard that AEM dyno tests with the hood wide open and a fan blowing towards the front of the car...
