I started my car up today and the idle was terrible. the car just doesn't run smoothly. Almost reminds me of the time I left one of the plugs off the coil pack after I changed the plugs. Can anyone give me a clue as to diagnose if a coil pack is bad. I don't wanna change each one individually but if that's what I gotta do then I guess it's what I gotta do.
Thanks in advance

If your engine has a misfire, the computer will record it and set a code. This code will tell the exact cylinder that is misfiring, so there will be no guesswork. If you have a check engine light while running, that code will be present.
Perhaps you should do some basic maintenance on the car before buying coil packs. When was the last time the spark plugs were changed? Did you get a bad batch of gasoline? We all do at one time or the other, so we keep something in the tank to help in case we get a bad tank.
Your injectors could be clogged, fully or partially. Have you checked your air filter lately, and sprayed the throttle body? I would start with a bottle of TECHROLINE (or equivalent) fuel treatment. This may help.
Good Luck.
Check for any vacuum leaks.

make sure all your injector connectors are on secure
search a thread i had posted in ...Ebruce chimed in as well about coil packs
also if you go to a mechanic, he can tell you which pack is messed up

Problem seems solved. Looks like I let the car sit a little too long. The plug must have fouled a little. It seems that after a couple of good revs with some boost, the problem is gone. Car idles perfectly fine and no loss in power from what I can tell. Thanks for the input.
