check engine, vsc, vsc off lights, came on
#33
Me too...just happened this morning. Wasn't driving hard at all...heavy morning traffic. I hoped it was a glitch and would reset after I stopped for some java...returned to car, started her up and still had check engine, VSC, VSC OFF lights. Damn...this is a first for my car. Well, I plan on taking her in for an alignment check after I get new tires...might as well add this to the list.
In the mean time I'll pull the ECU fuse to reset and see if the error codes come back and they should if it's a true problem...if not..I think it's a glitch.

After pulling the ECU fuse and reinserting after a couple hours; I still had the warning lights. I knew I needed an air filter but kept forgeting to get one. I haven't been running with a K&N..turned out the guy I bought the car from said it was and I beleived him since the sticker was on the housing. Turns out to be a regular filter and lately it's been really dirty...I'd use a compressor hose before to blow the dirt and bugs off the filter and put it back in. Guess it caught up with me.
Well I found a K&N that same day. After about 15 minutes of driving with the new filter in...the light cleared and back to normal. I can really tell the difference in the throttle response...no big surprise.

Same Lights Here
Yep, same problem here. I have a 2000 GS400. This morning I had the "Check Engine", VSC" and "VSC OFF" lights pop on. I am guessing it is the same issue....TPS. I have a great local independent shop that does overflow work for the local Lexus dealer. I know the guys well, and they will take care of me. I would rather have them read the codes and diagnose it for me, rather than start replacing stuff based on an assumption that I know what the root cause is. I will post my results later.

Loose Battery Terminal
Guys,
I discovered a loose battery terminal. Positive terminal was loose and would not tighten any more. I replaced the bolt-on terminal, and tightened it up. All warning lights are now off, and no problems. Guess I can save a trip to the shop!

So if I am reading right the celand vsc lights have been caused by several different things ranging from air filter to actual switches and tps sensors? Does anyone have the exact location of the tps sensor diagram or picture or anything. I am sure I can do it my self but I was not able to locate it upon first inspection. Thanks in advance

after overloading my TPS with voltage, my TPS still won't die, anyways...
Believe it or not, sometimes after refilling your coolant system improperly (and there is a giant bubble somewhere), it will rise to the top of the system...and guess what? your TB on your gs300 is the highest point in the whole system. THe air will be stuck there thus you will throw check engine+vsc+vsc off light. I thought i junked my TPS after abusing it by playing around with it, but turns out that i had a bubble in my coolant system. After i got rid of the bubble, everything was fine again.
Although my idle TPS is at .85V when it's suppose to be at .75V, hmm...
