I have recently added the L-Tuned exhaust, also a source of differing opinions WRT noise level. I can understand how some people may be turned off by the L-Tuned exhaust note as it is apparent all through the RPM range. The SRT is there when you want it to be, but subtle enough under 3000 RPM to be unnoticed. I recommend it.

i would DEFINATELY like to see this vid!!!

For anyone interested in getting the SRT Intake w/ECU; Carson Toyota is having a group buy on in-stock units. See the CL Vendor forum for details. Will this plug get me a hold on one unit. I plan on getting mine in a few weeks.

I have one sitting in my garage that I took off my 98 after a week of use because it was too loud (for a Lexus anyway...if anyone wants it make me an offer...I live in No. VA., so if you want to pick it up that would be easier, and I could install it as well). The power it made about 4,000 rpm was very noticable, like a switch had been hit, or if we had V-Tech, the second more aggressive cam came on line. If I were a couple years younger I would have kept it on, but suddenly I'm my father!

if you go to SRT's website directly, it's $399.95 + shipping which is cheaper than the group buy price, although many go to the group buy to support our forum vendors

A few GS owner recently installed their intake and ECU with positive responses. I can't wait to order mine. My expectations from doing this install are:

1. A stronger V-8 note from the engine.
2. Improved throttle response.
3. Increase in HP in high RPM range.

Where is the "GS430 w/ SRT, but neutral" option? Something along those lines.

I don't know if I would recommend it, this is all personal taste.

Any particular reason?

From reading your install thread you didn't like how loud it was. This is probably the #1 reason most of us wanting the mod are looking for....a strong V-8 note from the engine. Sounds like a recommendation.

But on the other hand; was it just loud standing listening to it outside or too loud from inside the cabin making regular driving uncomfortable to the ears?

I (we) appreciate any constructive comments you have. Are you keeping it?

Tried sending it twice, and a separate test email. It may have gotten held up in my work server, we'll figure something out.

I did not allow for the wishy washy in the poll options and refuse to add that option, you must make up your mind
