Default cold air intake questions for IS 250

Sunday the manager at the Lexus dealer told me about a cold intake system for my car. He said it would increase the hp up 40 but decrease the gas mileage a bit. I dont know much about these systems can anybody advise? Prices? Anything?

It was Matt Hollander at Lexus of Valencia 661 260 2000 that told me about it. I guess I should have just got the IS350 hahaha.

BS?!? No, that's a steaming pile my friend

I'll eat my dirty underwear if someone dyno's a 250 before and after installing this intake and sees even half of that 40 claimed HP.

Are you sure he said 40hp?? Cuz theres noway in hell an intake or a CAI can produce 40hp. The range are usually 4-16hp depending on car and other mods you did. But I seriously doubt he said 40 but if he did, he's a n00b sales man.

they said 14 to the rear on intake and on the exhaust about 22 on the dyno. Now I can understand why he said 40.
