Thumbs up Installation: LMS Intake on IS350!!

This was very straight forward.
bolts-off and bolts-on.
no words needed. I got tons of pictures.
I felt lots of more power through out the whole RPM, especially after 4500 rpm. I love it!! SOUNDS MEAN too!
Show your love!!

Did you get any CEL after install?

Cuz I know the pervious gen IS300 was notorious for having a CEL after having an aftermarket intake install, depending on what brand intake.

One note: I never seen the new IS engine with the plastic covers removed. It seems like the new IS has a plastic intake manifold??? I think thats a cheap! Even the previous gen has a metal intake manifold.. Hopefully this move by lexus isnt going to cost reliability and decrease the life of the engine!!

When you get it back on the dyno, let us know. I'm interested in AFR's from before and after...

Cool, yeah. No CEL.
Also, Plastic Intake Manifold is actually cools air alot faster than normal ones, but I am not sure that it is plastic tho..

Plastis intakes are not a cheap change. Take a look at the last several generations of BMW and Mercedes manifolds. Working with plasics allows them to manufacture shapes and compounds bends that cannot be done with metal. Plastis is also much smoother on the inside so the air flow is not as turbulent. Plastic is also not porous. Many more positives to using plastics.

+1, and are there any dyno scans available? How noisy is it at startup? Can you hear the whistle in the car?

Darn you!! Got your intake before I did! Glad to hear it was an easy intstall. I should have my replacement intake sometime by friday as LMS was nice enough to send me a new one after mine got ripped off my front porch. Lets hear some video clips!
