NOS controller suggestions
Hello this is my first thread here but I have been a member on several other Lexus forums for awhlie.Im getting ready to install a zex 125 wet set up and had a quick question.I would like the module that controls when and how much nos sprays.Ive been told zex doesnt make one but others do.I could swear Ive seen a zex but if they dont does anyone have a suggestion on a good one to use and will this interchange with a zex setup. Thanks

What you need is a rpm switch to turn on and off the n2o.Their are other aspects off the setup you ned to consider first, like how you are going to get past the factory fuel cut-off rev limiter? No fuel and n2o equals BOOM!!!

hey just wondering. what if you run a WOT switch and also have a button switch for the driver to push when you want to spray. if you don't spray all the way till redline will there be a problem?
or do you mean when you hit your top speed and there is a fuel cut... and you are still sparying.

So you can actually run n2o to run all or most of the time instead of just one big shot as in a race or something? Is that the difference between a wet and dry setup? I never looked into n2o because I always thought you could only use it like in The Fast and The Furious where you press a button and shoot a big spray into the engine.

A wot switch will only activate the n2o @ wide open throttle.A hand switch is different.A rpm switch will help you turn on and off the n2o at certain rpms.Yes, you hit the rev limiter and are still spraying you will destroy your motor.Thats what a rpm switch is for.You need to upgrade your fuel pump as well, to be on the safe side. You should also have a retard box to pull some timing out.YOu will also need a fuel press. safety switch to shut the n2o off,if the press. drops too low.Their are alot of things needed to effectively and safely run n2o on a car.An ignition box is good as well.
hope this is not off topic.
wow.. after reading this post.. i am thinking twice about running nirtous in my GS. i had nitrous in my 2001 celica and all i had was wet nitrous kit, purge, bottle heater, 1degree colder plugs, WOT switch and hand switch/button to activate nitrous (both have to be pushed for nitrous to work). i thought this set up would still be good for a 125 shot in a GS400... am i right or wrong..

SLOW DOWN!!!
The last 2 posts are perfect examples of the problem with adding significant power. The owner/user/installer MUST understand how to SAFELY execute the installation and usage. If you fail to educate yourself up front the cost of replacing a ruined engine will be and education in itself.
Nitrous IS chemical forced induction. It induces additional catalyst (oxygen) that MUST be combined with additional FUEL (gasoline) or the mixture will go very lean and the engine will burn up its pistons.
ANY engine that has a fuel cut rev limiter (controls maximum RPM by stopping fuel flow) MUST MUST MUST use a rev controlled nitrous cut switch to turn off the nitrous BEFORE redline. Otherwise, see above paragraph.
There is MORE to learn. Please seek out a competent installer and educator if you wish to have a positive nitrous, turbo, supercharger experience.
