Rod Millen and Supra 3.76 rear ends are the same, which is the same as TLW's.

If I remember right, the only way to tell is to open it up and see if it has worm gears.

Hey dude, i'm in the same shoes as you....looking 2 buy a 3.76LSD

I've found some used ones, but they r all old and rusted, does this affect the lifespan? or performance? most common are 93-94 diffs

Can't u tell by the fins at the bottom of the diff that its an LSD... i've read many posts and seen so many...

Is there anything else needed 2 install the LSD? new seals?
what type of oil should be used? amsoil 70w90? not sure...

new is 1600 which i don't think its worth it....used i seen b4 for around 650-900 depending on milage....

if i'm going 2 pay 1600 for a 3.76 diff, i rather pay 850-900 for the TRD LSD and pay 400 to get it installed...much better,

From what i hear is that these things don't go bad, people tell me 87k is nothing on the supra forums and that it can do another 100k no problem, since toyota builds their stuff pretty well....

so it might not look 2 pretty on the outside, but it sure will perform if u have the right fluid in there...
just want 2 know your toughts,

feel free 2 post, Didn't mean 2 Hi-jack ur post Milo, but i'm sure we have the same questions..lol
thanx,
jay

What's inside is more important than the outside. you can probably spray some anti-rust thingy on there and it'll help. As long as the rust isn't eating up 80% of the metal then you're fine.
