2jz-gte Conversion

i bought it from Jay.. a member here with a 2jz single turbo.
I dont know who built it but it was from new jersey. Shop was called Gettrac or something. I need to get more info on it from him
Claims to hold 1300hp so i would say good to 700-800hp?

I dont know what I have done to you. But yes I know it's not gonna hold the full HP claimed. Thats why i estimated it to be 700-800. Sorry that i'm a little off but do you have anything to show that it will only hold under 600?
Sorry that i dont have much info on who built it.. because it came with my swap. BUt I was told it was a mix of chevy/supra/aristo tranny parts.

Belive me when I say I with they did hold that much. I'm building a singled aristo motor right now and im debating on a th400, 4l80e, or V160 because I dont want to baby the toyota tranny. Let me know what you think after you read thru the link a little.

listen to this guy. Go to supraforums if you ever need anything performance-related with a 2jz.
mikal: i'm contacting larry to see if the 5spd could be built...i'm pretty sure people thought about it but I can't seem to find any info on it.

But one question though.. are the VVTI Gte tranny from the mk2 aristo any different than the regular supra gte tranny?

Alot of good info about the tranny. But i think a built toyota tranny is good for an everyday street car. I dont think i'll ever pass 550-600 hp so i'm okay.

Okay, Im not trying to throw things off topic so please dont flame me. I have searched. This seems to be one of the best threads on this topic (2jz-gte Conversion), so I figure I should just keep all the info contained in one thread. I was going to go na-t but finding out the stock trany sucks I started looking into an aristo swap. In my opinion it is a better value to do a aristo swap motor w/ trany. The only thing keeping me from doing the swap is I must have the OBD hook up functioning to pass emissions. From what I understand the aristo ECU WILL NOT interface with the OBD port. I just want to confirm this. If so I will just build up the GE slowly. Thanks in advance.
