It took me a little while to really comprehend the difference but I REALLY notice it on the lower gears. Before, it only sucked me back into the seat in second gear when I punched it around 4k RPMs, keep in mind I weigh about 120lbs. Now it will suck me back in the seat in first, second, third, and pulls much much harder in fourth. I also have the TM spark plugs too now so that helped from what I hear.

I was testing out the strut bar yesterday in some curves that I had previously tried to take really fast and not only could I navigate them without feeling like the car was waving around but, I could go much faster. This is when I really noticed the gain from the header because I would take a curve and nail it coming out of it then slow down for the next one and nail it again. I kept doing that until I realized I didnt need to slow down for the curves this time and then it got really fun.

Sweet driving. Just make sure you keep the shiney side up and the greasy side down.

The "...and then it really got fun" line always gets me nervous when people whip around 3,500 lbs of metal, rubber, glass, and most importantly people.

Default Open header anyone?

So what exactly does running an open OBX header sound like?

I only revved the engine up to about 4000 RPMs because the sound is absolutely deafening. I rev it a little a few times and spike to 4000 RPMs. Then, I back off and go idle then slowly press the gas until 1000 RPMs then increase and hold at 2000 RPMs. Punch it two more times to maybe 3000 RPMs and then cut the mic.

I recorded this using my Olympus DM-20 voice recorder with upgraded stereo microphone. To get the sound clip to you in a more timely fashion I added some pics and turned it into a movie using VideoStudio. The first pic is the cash I paid for my car, then the white on white tux with top hat I wore to UFC 57 in Vegas. Then my best friends son Travis on Halloween and then I start a sequence of pics of modding on my car. Very nice I thought.

Yes. Although there are only three components to the exhaust system I thought. The header, Y-pipe, and then the rest. But yes to answer your question. Dont forget its open header though. The mic was about three feet from the end of the header, right behind the front passenger tire.

This is the audio clip of the new header running wide open without any other exhaust parts. I ran the stock header open for a few minutes trying to warm up the O2 sensors for removal and believe me when I tell you no doubt it is very loud but cant hold a candle to the OBX running open.

OK...open headers...yah...that will be loud as hell.

Post up another sound clip once you bolt up everything.....maybe hold the mic about 5 ft away from the mufflers.
