Race fuel octanes???

***ANY octane higher than what the engine *needs* is an absolute waste!!!!!!! This cannot be denied. It's pure physics.

Higher octane gasoline's DO burn slower (technically) than the lower octane gas, and you'll need a strong spark to set it off.
If you put in too much octane for a given engine, your mixture explosion will not produce optimum push on the piston.
You can probably read all about that on Sunoco's or VP's website.


OXYGENATED gases are another story, they do make them in lower octanes, but usually, you'll find them in higher octane mixes.. Those gases WILL make you more power, guaranteed.
(yes, I've used them)

I think you should stick to a good 91-94 premium gas and be done with it. (and I have about the same mods that you do)
