Joe Z Intake installation
Ok guys. Just insatlled the Joe Z intake not to long ago. The installation was a brezze. The intake comes with a list of directions so that everything runs smooth. The only thing that scared me was that once I finish installing the intake and went to restart the car it did this weird noise and had trouble starting. That only took about 2-3 seconds. Once it finish doing that I had to manually put each window down because since I took the negative battery wire to reset the ECU I had to reprogram the windows. Dont worry, by taking off the neagative terminal you dont have to reset the radio or driver settings. That noise that it did when starting the car Joe said that it was the ECU reprogramming itself with a new air/flow ratio. Then I went for a little spin and yes you do feel a little more kick once you pass 4k RPM, more growl to it, and the car is feels more responsive. You can also hear it sucking air if you rev it. If you guys have any question with the installation feel free to ask....Thanks JOE

I bought it from this website http://my.is/store/customer/home.php. Scroll down and you will see it. Make sure you pick the one that say IS250/IS350 because they also make it for the IS300. The cost depends on which style of intake you want. The polished it $109.00+Tax and the other intakes are $10 more. I bought mine black with the cupplings in red. It makes the engine look alot nicer too.

That would probably depend on the dealer. I wouldn't think a simple replacement pipe wouldn't, especially since my dealer actually sells the Fujita intake, but who knows, you'd have to ask your dealer to be sure.. Technically they can't void your warranty unless the aftermarket part was the cause of the failure. And they can't void your entire warranty. Meaning if your radio stops working while under warranty, they cannot void it becuase you have an aftermarket intake pipe installed. Installing/uninstalling the intake pipe takes about 10 minute max. If you're concerned about warranty, you can always swap the stock one back on when you take it in for service.

You know once something goes wrong, they try to link everything and anything possible to the problem at hand, even if it sounds completely absurd.

I am going to give my services agent at Lexus a call and see if they are strict about engine modifications. If they are ill just sawp it before going for service. Like Ramon said it only takes about 10 mins.

yes, for future reference if a dealer gives you crap about aftermarket parts, just throw this at 'em

lol dont go to the stealership....they wont void warreny unless that aftermarket part caused the problem... but an intake"joez" or exhast willl not cause any harm to your car..i dunno about that short rams... since it has diff filter...
