If i recall correctly the SRT filter is $50 and the Blitz one (still needs some sort of custom fabrication)is like $70.

I would think a K&N cone filter will work just as good and if there is any performance difference, it's probably nothing that would make your car shave off 2 seconds on the quarter mile. Not to mention, they come in many different sizes for your application.

Just replace it with a similarly sized filter and you will be fine, you will get 0 performance gain from going to a bigger filter and it will probably just look funny.

The filter from SRT is made by Advance Flow Engineering, one of the biggest filter companies out there You aren't going to get a filter that gives you any benefit over it except with a loss of filtration or vice versa. There was a sport compact car article a long time ago that compared all the filters for flow and filtration, *I THINK* the Blitz flowed the most but had very little filtration so more dirt was allowed to pass. Up to the user to decide if it's worth it or not.

You might try the AEM dry flow synthetic filter, that's what I used when it was time to replace the one that came with my SRT intake. It works well, easy to clean and doesn't require oiling. I used part #21-205DK, it's slightly larger than the SRT and so it's a tight fit but it works, I got mine on ebay for about $50 shipped. Good luck.

How long have you been using the AEM Filter 21-205DK for? It reminds me of the Blitz SUS Air Filter I had on my IS300 except this one isn't metal

I've had the AEM on for about 4 months now, it's been great for me. It was recommened to me by another CL member I met, he's been using it on his turbo SC300 and loves it also.

Here are some sizes that are close to the SRT size. The SRT measures 3.5" flang opening 5" tall, top 4" base 6".

Nice, need to replace mine and don't want to bother with re-oiling mine, plus it's kind of old as well too, I am going to get the AEM one for sure!

Thanks for the part number btw
