Default GS400 California Exhaust, Different?

Hello I'm a new buyer of a GS400, it is from Cali. I currently live in New Mexico which doesn't have smogging or any restrictions. What if any differences are there in the California cars and what kind of an effect does it have on power of the engine. Any help or answers would be appreciated. Does anyone know if there is a diagram of the exhausts online? Thanks

i believe all GS exausts are the same when they come out of the factory. the emissions are in the motor or engine bay.

Thanks for the info, I thought that I had read somewhere that Cali and Canadian cars had a third cat that the others didn't have, but that source must have been wrong.

I'm really enjoying my GS400 although my brother in his Duramax diesel with a 125 horsepower tune smoked me, I was really surprised how quickly that thing took off, he had it in 4 wheel drive so that must have helped, I'm looking at torque converters right now because once I got going I was catching him slowly but he jumped out two cars right at the start, I guess those turbo diesels are really easy to tune to have more horsepower pretty amazing for a big ol' truck. We shut it down at 60 or I probably would have caught him, especially since he has a limiter at 100mph

get a torque converter and some higher gears with a limited slip and you'll take off the line just a fast. do a seach on this and you'll enjoy some good reading.

yup, tq converter and the 3.76 supra lsd. that's all you need to take back the lead

though with those mods, you should worry about traction, the stock wheels can't handle the power anymore, not even close

Not to hijack this thread, but these new diesel performance kits are amazing. Taking a diesel belcher and making it run like a scared rabbit. Check out Audi's new R 10, wow!
