Default Aftermarket power steering resivour.

Does anyone know where I can get a nice good quality chrome aftermarket power steering resivour. I don't want the down time of taking mine off to have it chromed so I was wondoring where I could find them online to just purchase.

Honestly, I think ur car is a little too classy for either one of those. After all, you have one, if not the best engine bay out there on CL. Why don't you try and find an OEM from a junkyard and have that chromed??

The first one actually isn't that bad, the overflow one...ehhh.

As far as chroming factory pieces on something like a power steering reservoir I think that would just look cheesy.

Be careful with that aftermarket reserivor. Today I test drove my friends car to find out what was wrong with his steering. Since those aftermarket tanks don't have the proper levels to gauge how little/much fluid is in the tank....you don't really know how much is the right amount. His power steering cuts off everything he takes a left turn. I think there is too little fluid in the tank, but I still gota look into it. He almost wrecked yesterday when following me thru a turn because his steering cut out half way. Personally I think for safety reasons, keep the stock tank and chrome that if you want.

Yup its the only metal color looking think in my engine bay. I think I'm going to just wait maybe just spray mine blk for now and wait on chroming it later. Unless someone knows where I can get an aristo oem power steering res.?

Nice...I'm actually just going to have it polished along with the top of my new radiator for now until I have the time to just chrome it later. But thanx for the pics it lets me know that it won't look odd aganist all the chrome in the meantime.

isn't the factory toyota resevoirs steel and not aluminum? "cause I remember when I stripped mine, and left it in the garage for awhile, it strted to rust.

Unless you already planned on putting a clearcoat on top of it.

When you said you stripped it I'm assuming that you meant removed the paint. I did not have the black painted reservoir, it's just bare metal similar to BlueLex's pictured above. My guess is that the painted ones may be regular steel, but the bare ones are made of stainless judging by the color and hardness. But hey, I might be wrong. Guess I will find out when it rusts or not.
