Supra NA clutch/ flywheel conversion
Having just done one for a friend I thought I'd post this up.
The IS300 replacement flywheel is $1200+ OUCH. So it was converted it to a '94 NA
supra aftermarket set up. This is documented else where, but didn't come up here in a search.
Fidanza flywheel - 130991 T0-18
Clutch Masters clutch set - 16-083-HDKV
Toyota flywheel bolts - 31230-22100
Toyota release bearing - 90910-02103*
Toyota pilot bearing - 90363-12002-77*
* the clutch set came w/ bearings, but I prefer to use dealer bearings - Your choice.
You also need a rod from a '94 supra TT slave cylinder. It's longer & takes up the differance
in flywheel height. (I had a used one in stock & don't have the part #)
TECH NOTES:
The center hole on the flywheel is .001/ .002 " too small to slip over the end of the crank.
I opened it up w/ 100g paper on a porting tool (dremel will work) & polished the scratches out.
Just take your time & keep check fitting it.
Don't forget to change the slave cylinder rod to the TT version.
The clutch feels very light, thought it didn't work @ first. Engaugement, also very light &
didn't even have to adjust the pedal height.
Any problems w/ this set up down the road I will post back on here.

I'm also converted to the MKIV NA clutch setup with my W58 trans. I do like the feeling much better as well.
Also the length of the TT pushrod is about 80mm. You don't HAVE to get that actual pushrod..... you can just use a similar size bolt or rod and round/polish the ends. That worked for me.
